Paul joined the Office of Emergency Management in 2005.

Paul's thirty-five year career in law enforcement spanned four agencies, and is highlighted by distinguished service within the Michigan State Police as the South Haven Post Commander, and by leading a special investigative unit serving Kalamazoo and surrounding counties.

Paul is married to his high school sweetheart and resides in Richland.
